    Casting Your Vote

    As Election Day is quickly approaching, Arkansans are making important decisions on the many candidates and issues on the ballot.

    Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge issued today’s alert to help Arkansans be educated voters.

    “Voting is one of the most important rights we have as Americans,” said Attorney General Rutledge. “We are blessed to live in a country with free and fair elections where our government is truly of the people, by the people and for the people. I encourage all Arkansans to research each candidate and issue on the general election ballot.”

    Attorney General Rutledge released the following voter information list:

    • Confirm your voting registration, location and precinct with your county clerk, on your voter registration card or online at
    • Check with your County Clerk to view a sample ballot before you vote.
    • Review candidate information and ballot issues by visiting the Secretary of State’s Elections website.
    • Research ballot issues from a non-partisan source beforehand to be a more informed voter.

    Early voting is open through Nov. 7, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. Check with the county clerk to find early voting locations in your county. Election Day is Nov. 8, and polls will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

    Absentee ballots must be returned to your County Clerk by Nov. 8. Military ballots must be post marked by Election Day and received by Friday, Nov. 18.
