Scams and Consumer Protection Webcast

In recognition of National Consumer Protection Week, this free webcast on scams and consumer protection is open to the public and will review resources, common scams and how to avoid them, and identity theft. The Consumer Protection Division represents and protects the State, its subdivisions, legitimate business community and Arkansas consumers.

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions during the presentation; 1.5 hours of CLE and CLEST credit have been approved.

Vaping Webcast for Students and Educators

Wednesday, March 10
10 to 11 a.m.

This presentation is for those who educate or serve youth ages 12-18 and will include e-cigarette health risks, how to avoid vaping devices and stories of those negatively impacted by e-cigarettes.

Cyber Safety Webcast: Unplugging

Wednesday, March 17
10 to 11 a.m.

This training for educators and students third grade and up will cover how to set limits and provide tips on how and when to unplug from social media.

Training for Civilian Attorneys
Representing Military-Connected Clients

Friday, April 16
8:30 a.m. to noon

A replay of this February training will be available for attorneys who are interested in providing legal services for Arkansas veterans and others connected to the military. This training, which offers three hours of CLE with two hours of general and one hour of ethics credit, will review bankruptcy issues, service-connected disability compensation and social media best practices.

Participants are encouraged to consider participation with program partners -- the Camp Robinson Office of Legal Assistance civilian attorney referral list and/or the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Bowen School of Law Veterans Legal Services Clinic.

Arkansas Freedom of Information Act Webcast

Thursday, May 6
10 a.m. to noon

FOIA responsibilities and rights that relate to public meetings and documents will be covered in this presentation, which offers two hours of CLE and CLEST credit.

Law Enforcement Trainings

Officers are invited to participate in free, online law enforcement trainings in 2021 and 2022. Registrants will be able to particate a convenient time over the scheduled month. CLEST credit for these CalibrePress trainings is pending.
